A LITTLE MORE ABOUT KENNY BOBIEN:
Singer, songwriter, and producer Kenny Bobien has been creating the music that represents an entire community of gospel and house for the better part of 20 years, having earned him the well-deserved title “King of Gospel House Music” in the industry and among his faithful fans. The strength that comes from within Kenny Bobien’s distinct falsetto voice is the obvious driving force behind his success which was clear from his first hit ”You Are My Friend” (1994 / Produced by BOP, Cover Records). The true strength behind Kenny’s success is something he realized early on in his career.

Many people can create fun dance music but the real secret is creating dance music that can fuel a dance floor but also the spirits of the dancers long after they leave the clubs. Kenny has not only figured this out but he has mastered this art and shares it in all of his music, most evident in “Brighter Day” (Kenny Bobien and Big Moses / King Street), his greatest success to date!

About DJ/Producer Shaheer Williams (incl. booking info)

In over a decade in the dance music industry, Shaheer Williams can proudly attest to being a "jack of all trades" and master of most. From DJing, remixing, music production, and now label head, Williams has been a pivotal force in the intense whirlpool of talent in New Jersey's musical fraternity.

Born in Orange, New Jersey, Shaheer began his DJing career in earnest, taking to the turntables at age seven. By the age of nine, he had already DJ'd his first major gig at East Orange's Club 88. While in high school and listening to ground breaking DJs like Tony Humphries and Timmy Regisford, Williams began working at the influential music store, Movin' Records. This employ not only gave him a grass roots education in the dance music genre, but crucially afforded him numerous music contacts. Encouraged by family members who were successful producers within the dance music community themselves, Williams secured his first deejay residency at the legendary club Zanzibar on college night in the early '90's. At the same time, Shaheer was honing his skills as a remixer and producer.

Today, Shaheer is re-launching Soul Groove Music, his brain child and musical outlet for over a decade. Look out for brand new releases from Kenny Bobien, Tyrah J, Ruffneck and more.
